Congratulations to our Win, Place, Show and all of our players...you win literally nothing but hey, at least you had something to do over the last 13 weeks.

From the early days on campus, to sequestered in our homes while the world is gripped by a deadly virus, Washington Squares has brought endless amusement to us, even if it hasn't to any of you. We thank those of you who participated throughout the last 30 games, or even watched and enjoyed from afar. We hope you learned something - even if it was "how to enter text into Google".

As previously noted, the game may return during the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic...you know, if we can ever get out of the first wave.  As for now, Tracy is really busy watching every season of the original Law and Order, and Melissa is really busy slathering herself in sunscreen every time she goes outside, so we'll have to see what happens as the summer goes on.

And you have our contact info, so just, like, let us know if you want us to make up a game just for you to keep your brain sharp.

Until we meet again,
Washington Squares Staff

Game #30 Results

As some of you may know, our friendship began as classmates and members of our award-winning collegiate a cappella group at Syracuse University.  But our friendship truly blossomed as fans of a little show called American Idol.  Ooh-whoa-ooh-whoa-ooh!

Also, we both teach musicals.

So with apologies to Diana DeGarmo (who Melissa didn't think was as much of a 'household name' as the others)...

Game #29 Results:
Julie "I May Not Know TV Moms But I Know This" Osborne - 5

Valiant Effort:
Merideth MacLain - Lesser known book titles in Oprah's Bookclub, Dumb things that turned into movies

Funniest Answer(s):
Merideth MacLain - I put these 9 items into the google-box and it told me....”you’re either drunk or high to try and find something these things have in common"

Ryan Lilly - The closest lead I got was an entire novel by Ray Bradbury. RAY BRADBURY! On a scale of 1-10, I'm forlorn.

Nicole, are you alive? We're concerned!
